League Info

2026–2027 Season | November 1 – March 31

Welcome to the Bullwhip Golf League!

We're excited to get everyone playing. Since this is new to all of us, we'll undoubtedly have a few things to figure out along the way. The goal is to keep things fun, flexible, and fair for everyone.

1. Reserved Tee Times

Each group has a designated day with exclusive access to the simulator from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM.

DayPlayers
TuesdayCurt, Tim, John J., Todd
WednesdayMike, Warren, John L., Jim
ThursdayJack, Dylan, Matt, Lacy

How you use your reserved time is up to your group! Your group is not your team. We will mostly play individual stroke play but will throw in a couple of scrambles or best ball team competition.

Play as singles, twosomes, or foursomes. Coordinate with your group to determine what works best. You do not all need to play together every week. Be respectful of your group's time so everyone gets an opportunity to complete their round.

2. Additional Simulator Time

Each player may reserve an additional 2.5 hours per week using the shared Google Calendar.

  • Booking is automatically set to 1 hour. Please book 2 appointments in a row if you want the whole 2 hours. You can get in 9 holes in about an hour and fifteen minutes with two players. We will set a 15 minute buffer to account for this.
  • Prebooking the simulator is only available 2 weeks prior to allow for all to have high demand hours like Saturdays and Sundays.

Time Available for Additional Hours

Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

3. Simulator Training

Julie will coordinate with one designated person from each group to provide training on the simulator system. That person will then help train the other members of their group.

Important: During the first week, everyone should plan to arrive together on their assigned day so the group can learn the system together. Please coordinate with your group.

We'll cover starting the system, selecting courses, using the practice range, and playing tournament rounds.

4. November & December – Pre-season

Practice, Handicap Establishment & Pre-season Tourney

The first two months are our learning period! During November and December, everyone will have the opportunity to get comfortable using the simulator and practice range.

  • One active 9-hole tournament each week to establish a handicap
  • No mulligans during pre-season
  • Auto Concede after 10 strokes
  • Game Format: Stroke Play
  • Gimmes at 8 feet
  • We can decide as a group after pre-season how we want to handle sand and rough shots by using trouble mats.

These first two months are intended to be fun and educational. Don't worry about being an expert right away, but there will be bragging rights!

5. January 1 – March 31: Official League Season

The real competition begins January 1!

  • Each player will play one official 9-hole tournament round per week.
  • The official league season runs January 1 through March 31.
  • Handicaps will be used to help create fair competition.
  • Tournament standings and results will be tracked throughout the season.

Over Christmas break, we'll get together to finalize the tournament structure, payouts, prizes, and any additional league rules we would like to use.

6. Open Play

Outside of your official weekly tournament round, you are welcome to use your two and a half hours of simulator time by bringing your spouse or teaming up with another member to get more play time. Please make sure to reserve your time on the group calendar. During open play, you can select any course available on the simulator. You can also pre-play a tournament if you will be out of town the next week. Practice, play a casual round, or challenge your buddies — it's your time to enjoy!

7. League Fees & Payment

Season Fee: $350 per player

$300

Simulator use, heat, SGT Tour Club Membership and equipment expenses

$50

League prize and payout fund — total payout $600.00

Payment can be made to Bullwhip Enterprises during your second week of play, as our league secretary (Julie) will be out of town during the first week. We'll finalize how the prize fund is distributed before the official competition begins in January.

8. Simulator Etiquette & House Rules

  • No cleats — please bring clean and dry shoes with you each week.
  • Balls are provided by the league. Do not use your own balls.
  • While playing, set aside balls that start to get chewed up or rough as this can rip the screen.
  • Please do not park in the house driveway so we have access to our garage.
  • Enter through the front door (south side of building) into the man room — code is 9410. Lock when you leave.
  • We do not have club storage.
  • Treat the simulator, screen, equipment, and facility with care.
  • Keep food and beverages away from the hitting area and electronic equipment.
  • Please make sure the aisle is clear before you hit.
  • Clean up after your group and leave the space ready for the next players.
  • If something isn't working properly, please let Julie or Curt know.
  • Be considerate of other players and their reserved times.
  • BYOB is welcome — fridge will be available. Please do not store your beer outside to avoid heat loss in cold winter days. Please drink responsibly and clean up after yourselves.

A Few Growing Pains Are Expected!

This is our first season, and we're all learning together. There will probably be a few technical hiccups, scheduling adjustments, and rules we need to fine-tune. We appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility as we get things rolling. Most importantly, let's have some fun, enjoy a little friendly competition, and make Bullwhip Frozen Golf League a great winter tradition!

See you on the course!
